Carlingford Lough
Morning activities
For our group the activities we did in the morning were canoeing, zip lining and climbing
Afternoon activities
These included archery, laser tag, zip lining through the forest, frisbee golf, mirror maze and rope climbing
Out of all the activities we did, later rag was by far my most favourite. After lunch our group was split in half with blue vs red we were all given camouflage overalls and a laser gun,the lazer course was in the forest and when we arrived we were given the rules and shown how to use the guns, shortly after we played the game,we played five matches and although we lost all but one I still really enjoyed it
When in the adventure center we did a large amount of smaller activities like archery, trampoline basketball, frisbee golf mirror maze and many more enjoyable games.
Near the laser tag area was a series of high up zip lines that went through the forest and over a cliff, this was a lot like the other zipping course but I still enjoyed it a lot.
The rope climbing was done on a platform high up, there were three secretions to it. The first was a large rope ladder with five logs each one was higher than the last, the goal was to get yourself and your team up to the top in under three minutes, this was a lot more difficult than it sounds and my team only got to the second last rung.the next one was a tall pole with a small podium on top, four people had to climb the pole and all be able to stand on the podium at the same time.the last one was called the leap of faith and as obvious it sounds, you had to jump from the podium to a handlebar hanging away from it,this was the scariest challenge in the adventure centre but I managed to do it.
Evening activities
These were the carlingford challenge, murder mystery and night walk
The first night we played the carlingford challenge which was a series of miniature games between groups of six,the team that won the most games was given a prize
Some of the games were building a tower out of your teams shoes,a food eating competition and an improvised date.my favourite of them all was a challenge where a person had to climb underneath a table and reach the other end without touching the ground.
The murder mystery was an outdoor game of cluedo where your team had to solve clues by walking to different landmarks and eventually solve who the murderer was and what weapon they used, this was very fun because we could walk around the town and buy food.although in the end our team did not win.
The last event activity was the night walk,we traveled up to the forest and once there we were all blindfolded and told to form a long line where we each held on to each other we were then brought through an obstacle course and because we could not see we had to coordinate with the people behind and in front of us
